Emily’s List Action

The Right was smearing women Democrats online with racism, misogyny, and flat-out lies—so in 2022 we teamed up with Emily’s List Action to pull the receipts and make sure voters knew the truth.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Content strategy & production

  • Brand voice development

  • Digital ad copy

  • Video script

  • Influencer content review

Social

Emily’s List didn’t need to win people over on social—their followers were already on board and organic platform-growth wasn’t the goal. So I built a social strategy focused on education and amplification. From policy breakdowns and highlight reels to data-packed carousels—I created content designed to be shared (literally and anecdotally).

That way, we turned passive followers into active messengers.

Digital ads

Let’s face it: No one likes political ads. Political memes, on the other hand? That’s a different story.

Tapping into a tradition as old as US politics itself—from 19th century political satire to the 2020s “Dank Brandon” era—I built and executed digital ad strategy rooted in one rule: “Don’t make it look like a political ad.”

With classic and trending meme formats, I created punchy, highly shareable content that resonated across our audiences—from disillusioned college kids to suburban moms—pushing facts about Kamala and other women Democrats in a way that felt subversive, so the truth could move as fast as misinformation.

In a campaign built on pushing content that feels authentic, shareable, and digitally native—influencer partnerships were a no-brainer. I put together creative briefs packed with data-points, narrative framing, and campaign guidelines to give influencers what they needed to make on-message content that fit their style.

Impact

In just a month our ads campaign racked up 3.5M video views and over 500,000 likes, comments, and shares. By the end of our short sprint in late 2022, our ads and influencer campaigns reached over 16M people combined, with over 2M engagements.
