It started with Junie B. Jones and the Stupid Smelly Bus.
No, really.
I read that book at 7 years old and became determined to have a future in storytelling. Thus began a journey involving a lot of trips to Barnes and Noble and Borders Bookstore (RIP), notebooks and Word docs full of stories and ideas, a few state and national writing awards, and a brief but torrid love affair with ant farms.
There were some other parts, too, but you get the idea.
Now I use my background in social sciences and creative writing to craft strategic communications and campaign narratives that inspire cultural change and center underrepresented voices.
